how do i find a leak in my a/c lines?

how do i find a leak in my a/c lines?

my a/c stopd blown cold so i bought a couple of cans of the sub zero leak stop and freon and put it with the hose that has a gauge. it worked for the day but this morning it was blowing hot again! im in dallas and were supposed to be having 99 degree weather all week. i dont care since i dont use the a/c while im alone but i have my month old baby that also travels with me so i need my a/c!!! i checked everytn works. i just have a leak and i need to find it and if possible patch it for now cuz ima be broke for a bout a month.

They sell ultra violet test kits at most autopart stores.

A UV light, yes.

You should be able to find a light at most any auto parts store...my local snapon guy has some nice flashlights with 10xwhite LED, 5xUV LED, and a laser pointer AIO.

Anyway, UV flashlights can be had cheap.

just trace all the lines and a/c components and look for wetness. it sounds like you have a fairly large hole. i would look and your condensor. it probably has a stone shot which caused a hole and now that you added freon it should be wet around the hole.

thanks. im jus getn up and eating. ima head on over to advanced auto for some freon and try to find this hole!
