A pop and a shudder while turning
A pop and a shudder while turning
Sometimes, and becoming more frequent, when I turn the wheel (usually when I have the wheel turned to the left but has happened a few times when turned to the right), there is a popping noise coming from what sounds like the driver side tire....and I can even feel a shudder. Once this happens, the cars drives fine until I have to make a sharp slow turn. About a month ago, I replaced both rack and pinion boots and the driver side axel seal....... I'm thinking about going in for an alignment this weekend, but this has me stumped. I don't see anything wrong and I don't have any suspension updates. Any ideas?
souds like you have play in either the lower ball joint or maybe your lower control arm bushings are shot. an alignment wont fix a noise. have them check the front end and replace whatever is needed than align. bring it to the place that did the rack or whatever. good luck
