Deer vs Maxima....( I lost)

Good thing is im ok , no injuries, after thinking about the accident, this could of turned out alot orse if i lost control of the car or the deer cam through the window....

Im on the highway left lane doing 75ish at 6 am....

deer just ran out from left (theses some wooded area between the two highways) that are not to far away from the highway and acrosss right infront of me.
Those damm things are so fast, as soon as I saw it I didnt even get the hit the brakes and bammmmmm, by the time i did brake it as to late so i let off and coasted . Thank god I didnt run into any other cars or no one ran into me...

Also If anyone wants my 18" g35 coupe rims and tires have decnet tread they are for sale.
If you want the rims, i need your stock alloys + somme cash, need these gona asap before insurance comes to apraise the car..

I also have the tails that are pictured in my sig, ill let those go for checp just bring me your stocks....

Im located in central CT, pm me, email is dburek85@yahoo.com or aim maxspeed96ct

the green stuff on the door and mirror is i think from the deer sh!itin itself on impact....

Damn, you sure did hit it hard. Considering the airbags blew, and the roof is twisted, I would call it a total. Buy it back and part it out...or buy it back and sell it to someone to part out. I would be interested in working something out if you want.

And thank god you didn't happen to be driving your G today.

thats ****ed man

im sorry to hear

yea you should consider yourself lucky you were not hurt.

couple of years ago my friend was driving in CT. a deer ran in front of his car, rolled up onto the hood and got one of its legs through his windshield. the hoof came down and crushed his right femur. he had to walk on crutches for 4 months.

then another story:

when i was younger (late 80s) my parents had a house in rural NW CT. there is a small road in this town with lots of twists and ups and downs, all heavily wooded.

apparently there were two couples (four people) in a BMW driving on this road one weeknight. a deer standing on a rock, or running and jumping off a rock, or something, managed to land on the roof. all 4 of his legs peirced the roof and killed the couple in the front - i assume from his hooves crushing their skulls.

Damn hitting a deer on a highway is no joke. I'm always worried about that driving on the Garden State Parkway or AC Expressway through the pines. I've never seen damage from an accident like that but its exactly as I imagined.

Glad to hear you are ok. Sorry to hear about the max!

That roof isn't twisted. The sunroof track is broken due to the pressure of the airbags which is common.

WOW.... Thank god that this was not a terrific accident that would be a chain reaction and would of caused the highway to be shutdown. The most important thing Is that you are O.K. and at the speed you were going the outcome could of been worse. Once again the Nissan safety engineering did it's job. I am really surprised that the car did not get that get much of a damage as I was expecting at that speed. Nissan has one tough cars and god was there to protect. Good luck on the insurance part and parting out the If that's what your doing and good luck finding another 4th gen.

damn dude its good you didn't get hurt I always worry about driving around on these back roads we have in CT. The damn deer are everywhere around here. I didn't know if you were willing to trade out with cash some of your interior... I have tan leather seats and tan door panels and all and I want to switch them all out with black. Really any piece in your car that is black I want.

Making the trip over

hey man sorry hear about the accident but at least you're ok. too bad for the deer though :/.

i'm in newark, nj but would be more than willing to make the trip over to you. its about a 2 hr drive from here to hartford. i definately want the tails and ill even put in some cash if you want and you could take mine. also, any chance you salvaged the fog lights if you had them lol??

just let me know in PM what you think. maybe we could set something up for me to come up in the morning and leave in the afternoon. i understand if you'd rather make the swap with someone more local.

sorry to see this happen. Seems like our cars are strong. Is it just me or does anyone else think it's "minor" damage compared to other cars they've seen hit a deer?

at 180k i gotta say the front held up well against the deer.

and theres no blood but I bet that deer had some broken bones.....

As far as the rims go , if anyone wants to drive down to CT with $250 cash and some stock alloy 16s they can go home with somd nice g35 18s with goodyear tires that have about 75% left one them !

This is what happened to my maxima about 2 weeks ago, I was appx. 500ft away from my house when a deer ran out in front of me. No time to react, and it felt like a drunk driver hit me.
