Advanced Timing.. ?

A lot of ppl have been telling me about this and how they have so much gains from it...so I was thinking of getting my max advanced.. but I dont know if this is good? or not... can anyone adivse me on this.. also how much degrees should it be advanced.

Ignition timing or cam timing? You will get gains from both but I'm not sure how to advance ignition timing without the use of an aftermarket igntion box cause there's no distributer on you car.

yea,

I just read up about that.. so I dont think it can be done on a 4th gen a 3rd gen I heard it can be... damn that sucks I wanted to get some ghetto cheap HP gain

True! As soon as I see a distributer I'm like "oh yeah"! "I'm gonna crank you up a few degrees"! I did it when I had a 3rd gen. And some cars with timing belts you can get away with advancing the cam sprokets 1 or 2 teeth. That will give better low end accel.

cannot advance timing on a 4th gen, if im correct its for 3rd gens only!

ECU's like JWT and GForce advance your timing. You have to run 93+ octane gas with them.
