hey man. congrats on the 00vi. i just swapped mine and got done with it last night! haha. its freakin awesome!

ok...first off...there's lots of information man. search is a good tool. just remember for future reference.

RPM switch. i just hooked mine up last night so its fresh on my mind! there are five wires coming out of the switch. you don't use the gray one. i ran the red wire to the cigarette lighter power wire. black to ground over by the clutch pedal. the white wire is the least fun of them all! what i did was slice into the white wire with green strip on the ECU. this was a pain but it worked. its the #5 pin so its almost in the worst spot. some people have reported having more than one White with green stripe wire but fortunately for me i only had one. the yellow wire needs to be run to the drivers side wire coming off the VIAS. the passenger side wire coming off the VIAS will need 12V switched power. i just ran mine to the fuse box.

i set the RPM switch by turning the screw to the lowest setting to make sure the light would turn green..it did...then i revved the engine to about 4800 ish and turned the screw till the light went back to red. i drove it and it feels pretty much linear pull. so i'm happy with it.

hope that helped...sorry man can't help with the TPS but i know i read a lot of info about it.

good luck!

Does it feel like the car is about to cut off? Hows the idle when driving normal and stopping at lights? Take some of the air intake cleaner and spray around the intake and some of the hose to see if you have a leak.

it sounds as if you have a vacuum leak. check for leaks at the lower IM and where the upper IM meets the lower IM. Also spray the intake cleaner by the intake area as aj suggested. did you use new gaskets (TB, LIM, UIM, IACV) when you did the swap? if not, did you put a thin bead of RTV over the old ones before bolting everything back on ? let us know what you come up with.

It may be the rear valve cover gasket because we didnt use the RTV gasket but did install a new gasket. I'm sure he has a new TB gasket but we used the old one since it was never disconnected from the IM. The same goes for the other gaskets.

okay i fixed that problem, the maf was not completly plugged in, now the lowest idle that i am able to get is 1000rpm's, thats a bit steep, when im driving it feels like i have a automatic cruise control.... if i was driving 30 mph it will stay @ 30 mph, instead of decelerating. i tried to adjust the TPS and i am getting a reading of .21 i know its suppose to be .41 or something like that, but its not idling straight

check the throttle cables to make sure that they're not holding the butterfly open, there should be some slack to them. did you use the 5th gen IACV or the 4th gen w/ adapter plate?
