Odd noise on start-up

my max has 185k on it, and when I start it up for the 1st time, it makes a noise like a pump is priming (humming sound) for about 5-10 seconds then goes away, I have no idiot lights on, no leaks of any kind, power steering works great and so do the brakes and the noise is definitely coming from the engine bay so it's not my fuel pump. anyone have any idea what may be making this noise?

no, and I haven't attempted to pinpoint exactly where the sound is coming from yet, but when I am in the car with the doors closed and I start it I can hear it pretty good, oh and I forgot to mention that when I apply the brakes the noise does get a little bit louder and then fades away when I release the pedal, but I have no noticeable problems with my braking, so I am stumped
