Hey ive been thinking about making my roof black, i know some people should have it.....ive seen it on alot of different cars....i wonder if i can make a vynil for my roof....? anyone ever looked into it??

Big difference between a black roof and a carbon fiber roof.
But there are companies out there that do Vinyl wraps, Im sure you could have the roof wrapped in vinyl.

 

i'd also like to ask...arent those glass roofs on those bimmers? panaromic roof?

 

i've seen it on a lot of different cars and it usually looks good. i have to wonder if the max is anywhere near the right shape to pull it off though. it seems to look better on arched roofs and ours is pretty flat.

give it a try though. its just vinyl.

 

The M6 Coupe has a Carbon Fiber roof.

Id be interested to see it on Flava's car with the CF hood, CF trunk, and CF lip kit. I think that would look good.

 

Before you go and get a vinyl made, try something else first to see if it would look good. Take some news paper and spray paint it black and lay it out or something. No joke. Dont spend the money if you are gonna hate the look in a couple of months...

 

run to walmart and buy black fabric and try it.

in my opinion, our white cars prob wont be able to pull this off.

that looks like flat black kinda.....i think im going to get a set of axis hiro, the antritope ones with a lip.......whatcha guys think....i wish he'd have more pix of it im really interested....and how much do u think that vynil could cost? my body shop said 250 bucks to paint the roof black...but the difference between paint and a vynil is a vynil could be taken off.....

He's not a 4th gen but Chernmax had his roof painted black and it looks sexy as hell.

yea i was actually talking to my friends about that... Got a white maxima def due for major body work... Paint the car a simple white non pearl tooo much $$$$ and paint the roof black, hood black, and trunk black

Ive debated having the top portion painted black, I was thinking about doing the posts and and such but having just the top center doesnt look too bad.

I may be a 5th gen, but I have the CF hood and trunk (ordering it) and I have contemplated the black roof idea for a bit. Still not sure yet, for a referenc I have a silver car.

It would be nice to do since I have some scratches up on my roof

The white 09 I test drove had a black roof. I think all the 09 premium packages will have a black roof due to the dual sun roof.

 

Just post some pictures of your car from above and we can photoshop it for you.

 

deff do it man especially if your car is white, im going to get my vinyl on as soon as school starts and my car is a silver i30 and I've seen it on a i35 and I know it looks hot.

I found a shop to do it for about $140 so i think its worth a try

 

IDK, not sure how just the black roof would look by itself. Without the dark trunk and hood to tie it in. I guess it would blend in a bit woth the winsheild and rear window.

Seems like this will be the new bandwagon. I dont think I want to try it after all
