Fstb

here's my problem..
i bought a coutesy nissan fstb and install in at my friend's shop a couple of months ago.. and recently, the service light for the car came on.. i have a 98 maxima and i do a pretty good job taking care of it so it kinda worried me when the light came on..
i bought my car to another shop to check out the problem and he told me that the fstb was hitting some other wire and caused the wire to disconnect.. so therefore the service light came on.. he basically replaced the wire and removed the fstb..
i'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else..
should i put back the fstb.. any help would be greatly appreciated..
thanks in advance..

you can 1) put it back on and check to make sure it isn't in the way of any other wires or 2) sell the thing to me.

I think you should be fine as long as you install it the right way up... I dont think you can do it the wrong way though, at least on mine you couldnt. Just double check this time make sure nothing is being pinched or pulled.

your FSTB shouldn't be hitting any other wires if installed correctly...when you install it, have somebody in your car accelerate the engine so you can see if any wires are touching...good luck with the reinstall!!!

The only problem I had with my fstb is it was hitting my a/c line that runs on the left hand side of the engine. I made some modifications to it, and it's fine. Reinstall that bad boy, and everything should be fine.

Mine hit the A/C line as well. Just move the bracket that holds the line over a bit and all should be OK.
