I put my fstb on about a week or so ago. I noticed somthing today i never noticed before. The gap between the upper side of my headlight and the right fender on the passenger side lookes pretty big... Like over a 1/4 inch...
I could even push it in towards the head light to like 1/8"

Was the car always like this or did my fstb cause it??
If my fstb did cause it what do i need to do to it short of taking it off.
It does look like a bigger gap than the gap on the driver side.
Help me out, im worried

Send me your bar.

Just send it to me.

(Check torquing specs if it comes down to it)

You're not doing any "Dukes of Hazard" stuff with the car, are you? Like jumping rivers and sh*t? If not, then there's no way you'd get that kind of deflection, FSTB or not. Had to be a pre-existing condition...

Nope, your bar is fine. The gap is what we call a great build quality...

I have the same thing on my Max, before and after the FSTB.
Nissan Maxima is build very poorly: rattles, uneven gaps, etc......
Oh well.
Enjoy.

I just installed the Stillen FSTB.

Took about less than an hour.
If you have torque wrench it will be better.

And hope your AE Max is better build than my 2000 SE.

Good luck.

No, it's an easy job. BTW the bar is doing it's just... I suspect that it might not have been there before because the body was flex'd?

Just a quick thought.. make sure you installed the bar while on flat pavement.

Also.. go to sears.. but a low end torque wrench.. it's a good tool to have.

How did you install the FTSB?

Did you jack up your car when you installed the FTSB? And was the pavement flat when you installed? If you either installed it w/ your car jacked up (thus causing some chassis flex) or on uneven pavement (again, some chassis flex resulting), and then lock up the nuts, your car will stay in that flexed posiition--thus the gaps that may have resulted from the install. Try this, park on a flat driveway or garage, remove the FTSB, and reinstall it.
