What does "check grounds" mean?
In response to a problem I've had with my starter, many have said to check my grounds ... from engine to tranny, from the tranny to the starter (did I get that order right?). Where are these grounds, what am I looking for ... and once I find them, how will I know what's wrong and what do I do to fix them? Replace, clean, sand?
Anyone have a diagram?
Much, much appreciated. I gotta figure out why my car takes so many tries to start ...

Your starter will have a wire coming from the battery (the positive wire) and one that is negative (either going back to the battery or connected to the chassis). The negative wire is your ground.

Couldn't you have included this question in your other thread on the same topic?

Try to find the link for the FSM. Apparently it's not cool to post it up.

well what i did was take a 4 gauge wire, and connect it to the engine block, then i let it to the tranny housing, then i connected it to the starter, then to the chassis, and finally to the batter.....and now my car starts like a charm
