Rear wing

Do you guys think that the spoiler really makes a diff when it comes to high speeds and all. I mean that is the point of a rear spoiler right? But I mean does it make a diff in our cars since we are front wheel drive and all? Just curious thanks in advance.

On really fast (racing) cars, rear "wings" push air up and away from the car, which pushes down on the car, creating downforce. On cars like ours, the rear spoilers are not to create downforce, but to improve aerodynamics by allowing less air to pass over the rear of the car. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
