stillen or Magnaflow?

My Brother has a 97 Max and is looking for a muffler. He wanted me to ask on the threads to see which is recommended more. A Stillen Muffler or a Magnaflow Street Series

There is a sticky about this(different mufflers and how they sound). Search will be your best friend. There's way more options than those. I dunno how to post the link(newb at computers, but its there). Anyone else wanna chime in?

I got the answer! If you are too friggen lazy to read the stickies...leave the exhaust alone?

Seriously, take a look at the stickies. There are so many combos, and we have no idea what sort of sound he's looking for. You'll be surprised by how different exhaust combos sound.

The stickies are good. Youtube, putfile, etc. is better for sound clips.

Every car that has a magnaflow muffler has sounded good to me.

I did apexi! Sounds great! Has a deep sound to it. Only hear it if you gun it. If you're driving regular it's just a low roar.

My brother and I both have maxima with Magnaflows on them. they are fairly quiet, but deff not when you floor it. i did a 18inch muffler with a 3.5 inch engraved tip and 2.5 inch pipes at a local shop for about $225

most of your local exhaust shops can do the setup for about that price

How much interior resonance is there with a Magnaflow?

I had a Flowmaster on my Jeep before I got the Maxima....and that thing was horribly loud on the inside! I never want to go that route again.

Go that route again, please. Well, your going to go that route again !!!! lol.

I would say go Magnaflow. Anymuffler that will make a car sound more like a muscle car, and less like a ricer is good for me. I dont know what muffler is best though.
