making corner lights orange??

So Ive been wanting my corners to be amber during the day as well as at night. so I was thinking of painting the lenses with stained glass paint I found that matches the stock amber color pretty good. but Ive never painted lights before so I was wondering if it would be better to separate the lights and spray the inside of the glass amber or the outside. was thinking that the inside might look more oem or atleast I wouldn't have to worry about it chipping. But than again this might be a stupid Idea altogether. Im pretty sure that I saw a max with really amber corners on here but cant remember who's it was. almost any info on painting lenses would be appreciated thanks.
oh yea and is it possible to amber the back up lights on 96 tails?

Yes, it would be better to open them up. Use the AE headlight instructions on VQPOWER.com and use those instructions to open both the corners and the rear tail lights. Since they are plastic they may not need to be in there as long. Cant remember how long I had my corner lights in the oven to open them up. Oh, and the car you saw was Mr****s95SE

I do 200 degrees and leave the oven on. I leave them in for about 10 mins.

Inside of the lens. If you paint the reflector it would look like crap.

Inside of the lens. Probably wont even need the oven just use a heat gun, if you have one. A hairdryer will work just takes longer.

No problem, I even used the heat gun on my tail lights cause I was too scared of them melting in the oven(different ovens = different melting points).
