Quick question about my tint?

Currently i have removed my car's previous old tint and retinted 4 side windows... My back window tint looks nasty as hell right now, all faded and bubbly... I want to remove it but the tint shop guy said that the defroster lines will break... I dont want to get rid of them... So, is there a way of removing the old tint without breaking the defroster lines?

I could be wrong here but if you use a heat gun this shouldnt be an issue so long are you are very careful. Dont get greedy.. take it very slowly.

Whatever you do, do not use a razor blade. Peel the old tint off, get some 409 and a sos pad, make sure its the plastic one and not the steel brass one. and use that to get the glue off.

best thing to do is spray the window with windex and put a black trash bag on the inside of the car covering the back window fully leave there for about an hour to an hour and a half and this will make it easier to peel back the tint (with caution) without ripping the heat strips this is how i did mine.hope this helps...good luck.

Or take it to a better shop. Most tint places should be able to remove the rear tint without damaging the defroster lines.

I think that shop is feeding you a load of bull. Like others have said, find a better tint shop and they should be able to take care of you.
