Back windows tied into front windows switch?

I've searched the forum and it seems no one has a simple solution to make the back windows roll down along with the front windows. My brain keeps saying.. why would it be so difficult just to disable the rear window switches and hook them up to the same hot wire as the front windows? Am I being a dope or what

I'm not just looking into this as a key FOB thing either. I am **** about my windows being even when rolled down and right now I have to roll down the back windows and then roll down the front windows to match and its a PITA. Would be nice if I could make the front/back both work of the front switches and have them go down evenly.. but I have a feeling variations between motors would make them not go down evenly.

I would be willing to spend a bit to accomplish this.. but not say over $50 max.

With 2 diodes and 2 new wires that would have to run to the rear doors you could leave the rear switches hooked up and functional and at the same time be able to roll the rears down with the front switches. 4 diodes and 4 wires and you could roll them back up as well. I cant think of any way to make them go down exactly even though.

Dig a bit through the FSM's EL section, pop off your door panels and take a look, see if you think you can handle it. The system uses pulsed signals over the data lines (coming through the BCM or the driver's control unit) to actuate the windows remotely, which makes it...fun to play with, to say the least.

The front ones have more room to go up and down compared to the rears. I dont know if this would be an issue or not but if you re-wire it, Im pretty sure you might be straining the back regulators since they would be up/down before the fronts(since they would be powered off the front, and would still be sending power to the back even though the backs would already be down). I dont know this for sure, maybe something to watch out for though.
