so i had this click with i turn now for a month
It would just click once if i went front right to left or vice versa..
it happened about a month ago and happens almost always, common sense told me axle. but something just seemed odd. like say i made a right turn and it click/pop once and i keep making right turns and nothing ever happens again but once i make a left turn it click/pop and does the nothing till i made a right. THat made me think something was loose, i was going to target the sway bar endlink.
I had a nail in the tire and went to plug it, while i was pumping i took a look at the axles and sways. Found out my driver's axle boot was busted. Looked fresh as can be tho. But do you think my chances of rebooting the axle would work in this pop/click case.
Or should i just go ahead and put on a new one? Also driver side would be the easier side right? no bracket holding the axle, i looked and it was the shorter one, so i assume its the easier side.
rockauto seems to have the cheapest of axles being at $50.79

a bad axle is a very distinct sound, and does it at a certian time. your problem could be a million things, lca bushings, inner/outer tie rod, ball joint, spring, strut mount..... even though your boot is torn i think its not the axle. most of the time an internet diagnosis for a noise is FTL. but id say lower control arm bushings due to your one left one right comment.
QNO_A32 is right on with the million things it could be. Regarding CV joints, go turn hard right for a full circle and then do the same with a left turn. "usually" if it is the CV joint, it will "click, click, click" throughout the course of the turn, not just once at the beginning.
PS, if it is a cv joint it should get progressively worse.

PS, do the turns in a parking lot and at very low speed. Role down your window so you can hear it better. You can use a wall of a building to hear better. The sound will bounce off of the wall and be louder when by the wall giving you a better idea where the sound is coming from .
