What a beefy strut these babies are, they are so firm you can hardly compress the piston. And thats on #1 setting! On the highest setting you can barely move the piston by hand.

I'm removing my H&R's and going back to stock ride height. I will miss the look of the H&R drop. I think a front lip is in store now that I'm back up. If anybody wants my springs, please see the thread below.

I'm sure the AGX's will give me more then enough control to handle like crazy but also combined with the stock springs I'm going to have a VERY SMOOTH FIRM RIDE!

Hey Ange - I think I read every thread on this board concerning Tok's and KYB's. I even had the guys at Shox.com giving me their experiences and opinions. We all agreed the AGX was the way to go.

BTW, if you talk to Steve at Shox.com and mention Maxima.org and the group deal of 380.00 They will match it. I got my struts in 2 days from them. Great service!

I'm pretty sure I've made the right choice here. I'll post my write up on these puppies next week. Maybe even take some pics of the install.

Just don't want to. I'm sure those babies would be excellent as a pair. Probably much tighter of a ride then I'm looking for. Thats why I'm putting the SE springs back in. I will miss the drop but I want as much ride comfort as possible. Thats why I baught the car in the first place, because it rode so freaking sweet.

I feel your pain. A brand new explorer hit me a month ago. I still don't have my car back. $7000 worth of damage on my '96. The worst part is that I have the following sitting in my room: JWT Intake, FSTB, RSB, OSCAI (to the JWT), and a Home Depot Grille.

I only had the car for 3 weeks before the bastard hit me

Cool...let us know how the car rides after you do the install. Hopefully with the softest setting you wont get over-dampening from the shocks/struts.
