Cv shaft replacement question

Cv shaft replacement question

on maxima's do we have to remove the right shaft before we can remove the left one. I heard we have to.Is there a write up to doing a cv shaft replacement?Any help would be awesome

shouldn't matter which you pull first ... I always do the drivers side first ... but only cause it's easier than the pass side. Drivers takes 5 min (no joke) and the pass side (first time took me an hour, now I can do it in 15 min) you have to remove the hanger bracket (just pull the whole freekin bracket! - trust me!) and it'll slip out.

Go to your local public library and look up the job in alldata for no charge. It is a godsend for first time jobs!

Yes, that's right, I said the library Alldata is the best thing since sliced bread for doing automotive jobs and it would cost you a ton to purchase it yourself.

You do not need to remove the driver axle to pull the pass side.
