maybe if you do those things in your first post it will help. I just changed my spark plugs to G-powers and felt a little more pick up. are you pulling a knock sensor code?

Im not saying it cant be better but what I was thinking is that first, at higher speeds aerodynamics play a lot bigger role in acceleration. its not like accelerating from 0-60 where there is a lot less wind resistance. 2nd I noticed you have a full tank of gas...wieght=slower accelleration. and third, i got about 22 secs of WOT which puts you at about 2.5 mph per second,I know that doesnt sound impressive, but at high speed I just dont think that is too awful.
If I wasnt worried about saftey , I would suggest timing the matrix so that you have a point of reference.

19max95 did you check your car for codes yet? Do it if not. The darn thing is right next to the pedals.

Cause that seemed like a slow pull to me. In that vid I felt like i was in my auto w/the knock sensor gone.

Are you running premium? I've "heard" that it can knock off as much as 18 hp... regular vs. premium.
Plus running crap gas will cause your knock sensor to work.... meaning your maxima will be slow.

before i bough the max, it used regular gas, but i was filling her up with 91 for 4 years now... knock sensor will need to be replaced...

you have a point, but still, the car is slow no matter That VQ is screaming for some attention... About the matrix, i wouldnt even want to drive the damn thing... It'll take me forever to get to 100 since thats where the top speed for those things is... prolly like 115 or something like that...

As much as are maximas are pretty quick cars, You got to understand that Age can affect them. And also put into the fact that I think ur thinking way too much power for a 200HP car that weights 3000lbs.

They are quick but a high 14 car. and a 0-60 in under 7 secs. Just think about that and possibly other things. Now was the car picking up better before this?

well, before, my dad actually drove it and adored and still does the performance... I drive it for 2 years now and it has been that slow always to me, my brother says: "why do you even waste time with this piece of junk?"... i used to agree, until i realized that something is wrong with it...

high 14 car and under 7 secs 0-60 is quick for this perticular car, just think, with those numbers it gives a new si a good run...
But i am simply trying to make it into a descent daily driver with some punch to it...
