OH SH** MOMENT

ok so driving to work yesterday i was on the highway and the hood flew up into the windshield. right b4 that i was under the hood jumping the car and rushing to work. thought i closed it good but not sure. any way got to get a new hood. and windsheild. was thinking bout finding a different type of hood maybe carbonfiber or something else to put on since it will have to be painted by the shop any way. i know won't paint carbonfiber but are there any other types of hood i can look into.

trying to put things together piece by peice

aren't all the cf hoods on the market made of fiberglass and just coated on top with cf? i have no intention to change from stock but just curious. a full cf hood should cost around a grand not a few hundred.

So, is this a fair re-enactment of your drive to work?

Next time remember to remove the empty oil can from the engine block!

Glad to hear you and your Max are safe...

+1 on the CF hood.

side note: if you hadn't replaced your windsheild/hood yet, do you have a picture of the damage that was done? I wonder if insurance covers it O.o

thats pretty close. lol good clip. just leave out the driving into the other lane and spinning around. and my hood stay on then flipped up again on my way to work today. i was thinking about the hood at work and seeing that the car is 10 years old and i'm almost done college and wanna upgrade for graduation thinking i should just stick with the stock hood. the insurance is taking care of it so going to be stuck in some lil 4cylinder for the next couple of days
