Blizzaks for $66

Hey guys, just thought I'd let you know...TireRack is selling Bridgestone Blizzak REVO 1 tires for $66. This is for stock size (215/55-16) which were originally $112.

I just got 4 of them shipped to my house for $311 total. SCORE!

Anyway, you might want to jump on this before they're gone!

I almost got these a few months back...I should have posted the link then though. They've been running this sale since July so I'd jump on it if you want winter tires!

100 inches of snow? OMG... We don't really get enough snow to warrant snow tires, unless you have summer tires instead of all seasons...which I do.

I can't wait to see how these things do! If only I had LSD too...

there is a night and day difference between the winter and all season tires. Deep snow that you could never make it through before you will be able to handle no problem with the winter tires.

Good find btw.

Would there be any negative side effects to only buying 2 and using them on the front wheels?? I dont think there would be and a friend agrees since its a FWD car. Anyone know anything about this?

IMO, not a good idea. What would make you think it would be ok if the rear had significantly less grip than the front? Yes, technically the "important" wheels would have traction...but what if the rear end slid out during a turn, which would be especially possible if you were braking wile turning? Tire rack says so, and I agree; put them on all fours.

On a side note, I got mine Friday. Ordered on wednesday, delivered on Friday FTW! Actually, the real good news is the $50 rebate you get for buying a set of 4 of them! That means I'll end up paying $261 total! I love Tire Rack!

I had my rear end slide out on a turn, cause I had less grip in the rear.

yeah I agree I LOVE TIRE RACK they shipped mine right to a local installer for me in 3 days. I went with a All Season set ... the Dunlop Signature for $386 after the $50 rebate they offer not a bad deal I think. I also went with a wider tire 225/55/16... wider tires handle better imo. I had Dunlop SP 9000 before and let me tell you these things handled well driving in the eye of a winter storm coming from Albany, I was going passed SUV in my little maxima lol. So I had to stick to Dunlop again very happy with them.

It is a bad idea. Yeah, you'll get going good but you won't stop or manage to keep the front ahead of the back.

I switched to snows last winter and even though we don't get much snow here, they are outstanding. A few benefits:
- you don't have to wait for the plows
- you don't have to avoid the backroads (especially when the main roads are jammed)
- they are a better rain tire than a summer tire, especially when it's cold because the summer tires get hard and lose grip.
- you can stop and steer much better in bad conditions
- you can laugh at the SUVs stuck in the ditch (priceless)

I crashed my car doing this. It only took me a week before this happened.
My rear Kuhmo ectsas sucked...My front Blizzacks were amazing. They dont mix. I never even saw it coming. Ive driven about 300K in my life and that was the first time Id ever lost control of a car/suv.

DONT EVER DO IT. EVER!
