whats the diffrence between these sidewall styles

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....wall=Blackwall

looking at these blizzaks for my 96 max, think its a good choice? i heard blizzaks also prevented hydroplaning but i didnt see anything written about that on the discription...

anyway, what is the diffrence between blackwall and outlined black letters for a sidewall style, , i can see the pictures, but cant really tell the diffrence. which is better looking do you think?

thanks

If it were me, I'd go with the blackwall...Just by looking at the pictures in the link you gave, that's what looks better to me.

The difference that I see is that with the outlined black letters, there's a ripple pattern behind it where with the blackwall, it's just plain. Without the ripple pattern, the blackwall looks sleeker, which is better looking to me. The ripple design makes the other one look cheap, like the tires that you'd get when you go to a "4 for $99" special!
