What was your first reaction time?
What was your first reaction time?
What was your first R/T and your current R/T? Just wondering. The reaction time is the time it takes you to move after the light turns green. It says it on the timeslip. Mine was 1.128 my first time at the track.

First was like 1.300
Best is a .540, typical is a .625 or so.
I was on a Pro-Tree once without knowing it, somehow they messed up. Talk about a surprise.
And yes, Pro Tree is .400 and Sportsman is .500.

I waited for the green light the first time, and my r/t was well over 1.5 seconds. I was concerned that I would do something *stoo-pid* in front of a grandstand full of people, and sure enough, I did. After the race, another racer told me a perfect r/t was .500, and I should have launched between the 2nd and 3rd yellow lights. Over a period of months, I steadily improved. And no red lights. Then it occurred to me that if I *never* red lighted, I probably wasn't being aggressive enough at the line...
To date, my best r/t is .501, which happened to occur on my fastest run to date. I've also run quite a few 4.98's and 4.99's, which got me red lights, of course. I don't know where my average is now. But I can run in the .5XX fairly consistently once I get a run or two under my belt. And, yes, occasionally, I still red light. I love it when my competitors, even though they may be in obviously faster cars than mine, red light BIG time. It makes me feel good to imagine they were distracted by the mighty Maxima!

Is that included in your final time though. I always thought they subtract that out.
