Nissan say I need an upgrade everything!!!
I just did an axle job on my car and I am hearing clunking noises, I know It's not my axle because I just Installed It on very good including the brackets that has to hold the axle in place. I hear the clunking noises when I am driving or when I am changing the gears from R to N to D. If I am driving at a certain speed I will let of the gas I will hear this clunking sound and If I give the car gas It will clunk with some jerking. I quickly found out It was my rear motor mount that Is going bad. I went to Nissan to get this confirmed and I told them to do a 100-point inspection. They took my car in and they also found out that I will need the following things = (4) Rotors, because there rusted I need new Crossmember bushings because there worn out. I need new Axles because the boots were worn out because of age. I need (2) new struts because the (1) Is going bad and the other Is about to go bad. I need new motor mounts because the car is making clunking noises.I will need a new P/S rack RET line I know my car inside out my car does not need as much of the things that are listed. I did an axle I still have to do the otherside. I got two new front rotors and I just resurfaced the back two rotors. I am going to do the front two struts. I will also do the crossmember bushings and the mounts.
The pricing for the parts are crazy and here's the listing = all (4) Rotors $400 Crossmember bushings $ 620 Struts (2) front $1,280 axles $530 Motor Mount $ 830 P/S rack RET line $400 D.I.Y. mechanic priceless.....j/k.. If you add all this up you get $ 4.060
I know this is extremely expensive and they are ripping people off. I wanted to know what you guys think that the price should be for a bad motor mount job and the (2) front strut job, does This sound reasonable Let me know what you all think and If you want to talk about any other things I have listed you can talk about them to. Thanks...

The pricing Is only for the parts and the labor Is not added to the listing. If I had the labor rate I would of listed it and I know this is some serious money here. I am going to do the important parts only, like the mounts and the axle I will do that my self and the return line,I already tightened it up. I am going to do the struts when It gets really bad. The struts are 95% right now,so when they go bad I will get to them.

im sure you can find kyb gr2 front struts for around 200 + around 40 for installing them at a local shop. at least thats how much it would cost me. should cost you maybe 300 at MOST.

aftermarket suspension FTMFW. You can get some coilovers if u wanna drop paper like that. or u can get some Illuminas for like $500. for everything else find someone on the org who is a mechanic in ur area, get motor mounts from energy suspension just go anywhere besides grand theft auto stealership

Everyone learns one way or another dealership=stealership(my belief anyway), unless you got connections. Buy these parts yourself, and DIY, its not hard. Why would you need new axles, if your boots arent torn how do they say they need to be replaced cause they look old and have dirt on it?(did you not just replace them)? Rotors will get rusty, wash your car and see(maybe he means the edge, where nothing touches it?). If they arent thin or warped and your brake pedal isnt moving up and down and shaking, they are probably fine. I think they are trying to rip you off majorly, hell I wouldnt even think about paying that WITH labour included.

don't replace the axles. Wait until the boot goes then replace them. Who cares if dirt gets inside? you'll probably buy an new/refurbish one anyhow, because buying a new boot kit is just as expensive plus the work you'll have to put into it. I agree with Vilmaxima on the rotors. IMO, just get the new motor mounts and replace them yourself, not very hard.

Believe It or not that's what they told me and I have not asked them to do anything, forcept asking them to do a 100-point check-up. I also forgot to add to the list that they wanted the back (2) struts to be replaced. I know I did not need them also. They basically thought that I was stupid and they thought they can pull a fast one on me.

dam, you should look outside and spot another 4th gen if they have it... then look at the price and tell him that this car is cheaper than the total parts you listed for me just now.
