quick/easy wiring question for a/f gauge

Alright I'm wiring up a G2 A/F gauge to use with me LC-1 sensor. There are 5 wires coming from this little gauge . I'll only mention the ones in question.
1.The blue wire needs to be connected to a switched 12 volt source. I've connected this to the cigarette lighter. Does this sound appropriate?
2. The brown wire needs to go to a "permanent/constant 12 volt source". Where would I get this? Dont tell me I have to run a wire to the battery. I figured permanent meant that it was permanently "hot" while the car was running which would also be the cigarette lighter.
3. The white wire needs a headlight power wire. Again, I dont have to run a wire to the engine bay for this one, do I? Just a wire that gets current whenever the headlights are turned on. Any suggestions for this one? Is the closest wire behind the cluster, or can I tap the dimmer switch on the clock or something? or how about the dimmer switch for the cluster.

Thats all. Help is greatly appreciated, I'm trying to wrap this up within the next 2 hours at most.

thanks.

thank you.
I forgot about those extra spots in the fuse box. There is a cigarette illumination light? Do you mean that light for the ashtray? I know that thing is laying around there somewhere. Its either that or i was told my jvc hu will have a constant as well. Time to go figure it out!

Yes the ash tray light.
Sure, you can tap off the radio if youd like.

thanks. I got it wired up last night. I used the ash tray light, just clipped the harness off since I dont use that thing anyway, worked perfectly. Then I used the radio harness for the constant.

Innovate usually provides different trim rings for their higher end gauges. Is the white ring swappable with a black one? That would look 100x better IMO.

Glad you got it installed with JSutter's excellent advice.
