Question on red "reset" button under fuse box

I have a 99 SE 5 speed, and just discovered a red "reset" button under the fuse box inside under the steering wheel. Does anyome know what the function of this switch is? or did my dealer add this when I purchased the car. A neighbour has a 95 doesnt have this switch, any ideas???????

Do you have an aftermarket alarm? IF so, it's probably the valet switch, or an alarm reset switch. It doesn't sound like a factory Nissan thing.
