Suspension setup for mild drop

Im planning on doing a mild drop around december/ jan this year and im doing some research on it...my limit is about $500 for everything. Im going between Tokico HP blues with the red spring setup or Tokico ill. with an undecided spring setup. Im leaning more towards the blues because they are cheaper. What else will i need for the struts? or can i re-use some of the pieces of my stock strut assembly? Thanks guys

Id go with kyb gr2's instead of blues but thats just my preference. as for springs Id say TEIN Htec gives a nice mild drop while keeping the handling smooth. Im not sure about the tokico springs that come with that spring & strut deal (I dont think 2 many members have them). alot of members like the h&r's and eibach's I like to go jap on my jap cars aftermarket so I stay with TEIN for anything I can. the mounts and dust boots are usually shot so they need to be replaced and you mine as well change the strut top bering while your there. dont get the kyb mounts as they fail early, I think the oem ones are good. Itll prob end up runnin a little more than 500, but if you do alot of shopping around you can pull it off, I got my setup for like 489 after tax I think but I found a sick deal on ebay for the gr2's and got a real good price on my stec's from a retailer (tein is often counterfeited so getting from an authorized dealer is a must)

Mild drop, best ride, excellent handling = H&R springs + Tokico Illuminas
The Blues will work as well, I find they are a little weak in rebound dampening.

stec's arent mild though and are much stiffer than stock. stec is like 2.5" drop and I think the htec is like 1.7" drop. I have stec and when Im next to a stock max the stock one looks like its on stilts.

here is my car on stec's

the koni's are like 800$ alone though. and he wants to do it for under 500. and for 800 + $ for springs you could get the TEIN coilovers instead.

If you can stretch your budget a bit and do the install yourself or at least cheaply, you can get the tokico illumina kit which is struts and springs. They're better than blues. I paid about $580 through performancecenter.com w/ shipping. The setup is adjustable and the drop looks and rides real nice.

I personally would do Illumina's and H&R springs.

Best ride and mild drop.

See my cardomain (page 6) for pics. Ride is just like stock on setting 1.
