Wheel bearing issues

Ok, so my wheel bearings were starting to make noise on the A32, so i went to autozone and picked up some timken wheel bearings and seals..took the parts to a machine shop and had them pressed in..cool. I install everything and call it a day. The next day as im ready to head to school, i notice that the wheel bearing noise is still there. I checked the hub and bearings after the install and they had NO play whatsoever. However, this time around, the wheel bearing noise seems to have gotten louder. Any ideas or suggestions?

i assume that these are the fronts since you can't just buy the bearings for the backs. (i know because i just changed the back ones). Was it greased properly? Are you sure that its the bearings?? What does it sound like? is it consistent? Does it get louder as u drive faster and seem like that they get mroe quiet after a certain speed? Does the sound faint when the road goes right or left? You have to give more details before we can help you out. It also might be that the bearings were bad.

Did you get both new seals and both snap rings???

yea these are for the front. The bearings are sealed and are prepacked with white lithium grease. The noise is consistent with that of wheel bearings..a humming sound that increases with speed. Before i replaced the old ones, the noise did go away while making wide left and wide right turns.. Now, it doesnt affect it..at least not as much. New seals on both sides..same snap rings

thanks for the reply

You've probable got tread noise from your tires.
Most likely wasn't a wheel bearing issue.

Or,......now that the fronts are quiet, the rears are more easily heard.

Replaced tires and same issues. Sounds like its def coming from the front but is there a way to test rear bearings like in the front?

Are you sure it's not your brakes making the noise or maybe even the axle?

well, i just noticed today that my driver side rotor is pretty warped, so im gonna need a new brake setup anyway... I have never figured how axles can cause any noise other than the infamous clicking when turning?

So I figured it out!

I got another set of bearings and replaced the already "new" ones and noticed they had metal shavings on the race! Put new bearings and problem still existed..having already rotated the tires I decided to try tires off my boys g35. Problem fixed! All 4 of my tires are ****ed up. They r still balanced and inflated with decent wear, no uneven spots etc.
