yea....we told you that it wasn't worth that much and that it has two different headlight housings, two different color paint on the rear bumper. Did you check carfax?? you do know that someone can just switch another odometer in there. Is the engine spotlessly cleaned? If so, it means that someone has just worked on it. Hope you enjoy it and nothing is wrong with it. Would hate to see you come back in a month or so saying that you found something wrong with this and that.
BTW, one advice, bring it to a mechanic for an inspection and also a car wash before purchasing. Mechanics will try to get every $ out of you and you will know what is wrong. Car wash is to find if there are any leaks through the doors, windows, trunk, and headlights.
P.S. - system is worth nothing. doesn't matter what the person has, it doesn't bring the value up. It just brings more attention. Also, if you know what you're doing, you could have brought the price even lower by stating that you know that this car has been in an accident otherwise the headlights will match and the paint on the rear bumper will match. At that point, the seller will probably deny it and get really mean. Which means they were trying to sucker you.

Car is CLEAN. Title. Paint. Body. Etc. Engine bay was a little dirty...and i guess thats a good thing according to you guys. Hasn't been recently worked on. Frame all matches, no random welding.
Headlights MATCH. Even wear on them both. I told you guys it was just the angle/shadow of the picture.
Anyways, im stoked about this car. Never thought i'd get one with so low miles in such great condition.
Plans for now:
1.Engine tune up
2.Ground kit
3.-Budget Y pipe
4. 00vi (need my spare 4th gen LIM drilled)
Oh, and its Fed-Spec

We were all worried for you and wanted to make sure you made informed purchase. Looks like you looked the car over thoroughly and it sounds like you weighed the pros and cons, and the cons won out. We want to welcome you warm heartedly to the Maxima family.
Congratulations on your new purchase!
Everyone with negativity just back off. It is his decision and, unless he borrowed money from you to make this purchase your opinion does not matter.

The headlights looked different because the sun was shining directly into one of them when he took the picture.
Bumpers are different colors on my Sterling Silver 99 SE-L as well. Look at my sig.
They appear lighter then the body, mostly because they are sprayed seperately from the body of the car. Different primers, flex additives ect. are used when painting the bumper covers.
That seemed like a very nice clean car, good luck with it!

Give him a break guys.
I got mine with 26k on the clock for $9k. Worth every penny to have a car that 'new'. The only issues I've had with it were due to me (I regret 00VI'ing cause I'm have CEL issues ever since and swapping headers - same story).
If I had just drove it, I would have been fine.
Yeah with 100k on the clock.

Thanks guys. Ill take pics soon as i finish with the maintenance tune-up.
It has 0304 and 0512. (Knock and rear o2 sensor i believe) No biggy.
00VI almost always results in a cold start issue.
I have a lean code and a map/boost code...which became apparent after the 00VI. My lean code was a ghost code for a while before that.
It all started when I started modding.

That's what I said too more or less in the OP's other thread. Does it have ABS, ECC???
Regardless, congrats on your purchase!
7k for a basic model!?
IMO rip off.
When I was shopping last year I was looking at stock 99s fully loaded for 5k. Got something cheaper, but they werent even that much last year. IMO body and options should be considered more than engine for a 4th gen cause engines are cheap to replace.

Congrats on the new purchase. I just bought a Sterling Mist 5 speed, Black leather interior. Car has a mint interior. Exterior needs a new front bumper and has a few little dings. It however has 160000 miles on it. Also was a 1 owner car and local to me. I had to put brakes on it. Paid $2800 for it.
congrats man..i wish my car was still sterling mist, but the previous owner had a cheap maco blue paint job sprayed over it, which really irritates me now, Maybe since im going to paint it eventually i will go back to stock color, but back on subject congrats and i hope you have as much fun with it as i do with mine.

Best of Luck with your new purchase. Just a heads up, put some money aside for when the coils crap out on you. It's not a matter of "if" it's "when". I bought my 99 SE in 2001 w/ 23K on it currently has 65K. Very respectable price you paid. Get some pics out for us. Nice Job
