Mix/Match Struts/Shocks?

Ok, I DEFINITELY have a bad fr right strut. I upgraded to Tokico/Eibach bout 100K ago and they've served me well. Here's the rub. I'm THINKING bout just installing the orig OEM FR struts....and eventually, the rears. I like the lowered look and feel but am OK going back to a more compliant ride. Am I crazy? Anyone ever try this? The stockers have about 60K of easy miles on them and should be in good shape. Thanks!

If your willing to spend a little money, Monroe OE replacement units, the Gas Matic, is only $50 bucks at any Advance Auto. I just put them in my car. They have a very nice firm compliant ride.

I've had just about every combo of spring and strut you can think of. I'm back on the OE suspension again and I gotta say these cheap struts ride awsome!
Lifetime warranty too.

Eibach's should be fine with them as the drop is not more then 1.5 inchs which is where the warranty becomes void by any strut/shock mfg.

Cliff notes: For around $100 bucks you can put new units in.

Thanks for replies!

Thanks for the tip on the gasmatics....sounds like the way to go. My luck...the stockers would fail soon anyway. I had a shop install the shocks/springs initially....looks like it's not too tough a job...just need to weigh buying spring clamps and my time vs. paying for someone else's wrench time.
