Slave/Master Cylinder Issue

so the other morning I try to move my car and the clutch pedal kept ketting stuck as I let go and was unable to put car in gear when car was started only wen it was off I was able to put in gear...So i was able to start car in first and took to mechanic....

He says the slave cylinder needs to be replaced as well as the brake master cylinder...do they correspond at all to the clutch pedal being stuck? He said the brake master cylinder needs to replaced something to do with hydrolic system or something...any comments? thanks a lot

Are you sure he didnt mean the "clutch" master cyl.?
the brake master has nothing to do with your clutch.

Have you tried bleeding it first? I imagine your clutch fluid reservoir is dry?

Also, look around for leaks. More than likely it's around the lower clutch line.
