Question about stiffness and blowing struts
Just like the title says right now I have KYB AGX struts with intrax springs goin with Tein springs in about a month. My question is will making the struts stiff give it more chances of blowing faster? Right now struts have about 5k on them. The front is set to 3 and rear to 7

Typically stiffer damped struts will blow more often due to high-velocity compression hits (potholes, railroads, etc). AGX from what I've read and seen (never owned), isn't overly aggressive on the compression side and shouldn't be a problem for daily driving until you turn way up to 8. It's a street type shock and KYB doesn't want them blowing out any more than you do. Here's how they compare to Koni.
My revalved Progress (once you do the awful imperial to metric math) is actually softer on high speed compressions and similar on low speed. The rebound however is stiffer than even the Koni Red at the highest setting. I specifically wanted a race type setting that could still handle suprise obstacles after blowing out my first one on a 80mph concrete expansion joint.
