Headlight Wiring Harness Upgrade?

I've searched it up on this subject but nothing has really helped me so far so I'll shoot.

What ways can I upgrade my wiring harness from 9004 to whatever else? Is it beneficial with stock housings or not worth it?

Also I saw some things at a pepboys that are supposed to allow you to put higher wattage bulbs in without upgrading, they allow for more heat I guess.
Anyone tried these?

Those bulb holders just allow you to use a higher wattage bulb without it melting on you. No hids are beneficial in stock housing IMO your beam pattern will just blind people and you will not pass inspection (NO HIGH BEAM) . Now if you are going non HID I believe converting to a 9007 or something of the nature will increase your output in the stock housing with out blinding people. It all depends what you are looking for. Search around you will find more answers.

9007 conversion is definitely worth the money. I did mine for under $30 incl the bulbs and the output is much greater than stock. I simply followed the sticky, and the writeup at vqpower.com.

Agreed! If your staying with halogens, 9007 is the way to go. Cheap and vbery effective. I really liked that setup, the 9004 has a complete garbage output.

Looking back on the upgrades i've done... the 9007 was a difference from the 9004. It's still a really dull and weak amount of light on the road so don't expect a night and day difference.

I'd advise you to save for a personal retro-fit or save a little more to ship it off and have an org member make you an exceptional retro-fit.

A retro costs more... but when it comes to lighting up the road at 70 mph, i think the cost well justified.

I'd love too but I don't see that kind of money coming my way anytime soon. From what I've seen that costs hundreds =/
