ok i have a 1996 maxima. it is an auto. when i try to crank it it just turns over and makes a pop in sound. im going to try and see if the ecu has any codes on it in the morning. it was running fine yesterday and today i went to get in it and go to the store and it wouldnt crank. so any info would help thanks.

 

i doubt you'll get any codes from a dead battery. did you try jump starting?

 

the battery is not dead. when you go to crank it the motor just turns over. and dosent fire up. but it does make a poping sound when you give it gas and try to crank it.
