Got my Stillen lip kit today........
Well I got my stillen lip kit today, to my surprise the thing is made out of rubber . Over $500 for 4 piece of rubber, but anyways I got mine on Craig's list and only paid $350 and the guy even drove it to my house
My question is when I take my car to get painted is it best for the body shop to put the kit on then paint the car and kit together or paint the kit first before puting it on the car.

Here's what Stillen said from their website:
"Add an aggressive look to your car with STILLEN's urethane front lip spoiler. This spoiler fits the stock front fascia. Shipped ready for final prep and painting, we recommend using a qualified paint & body facility for installation and paint matching. This spoiler offers the same durability and long life typical of STILLEN Urethane and carries a limited lifetime warranty against cracking or breaking during normal use."

I think they might sometimes do this thing where they mold the kit against the bumper, so there's less of a visible seam, before they paint the whole thing. I guess they use filler at the seam, so they have to paint it, which is why it's only done if the car is about to be painted.
I think this guy with a white maxima had it done a few months ago. It looked nice.

Only have to worry about hitting things with it when the weather gets below freezing, other than that's it's the most durable body kit and best looking on a 4th gen max imo.

^ exactly why I didnt mold. Also because if I wanted to swap lips or entire kit.

Well that way you might have 2 different shades of paint and it wont match with the rest of the car. It might be cheaper that way. Its good to blend the paint.
