Misfiring? Bad Gas? Any ideas??

My 99 Maxima SE just started running a little rough yesterday. It's most noticable in first gear when accellerating - almost feels like it has a big cam in it. It's pretty cyclical, where it feels like it could just be missing a cylinder. It's obvious at higher speeds too, where it doesn't have the power it should.

When I accelerate hard the service engine soon light flashes. It has been on - and off previously(weeks at a time), but is currently on right now.

Anyone have similar issues? Any diagnostic's to identify the problem? Maybe change the plugs and cross my fingers?

I am half way through a tank of gas, so I don't know if gas could be the culprit...

THANKS!!

Pull the codes, it's telling you there is a problem!

Bad gas, please, only when I eat hot dogs.

OK, ran the code and it read:

Cylinder 6 Missfire P0306

So I changed spark plug and it didn't help. Is the coil pack on each plug, or on a bank of plugs?

Bad (single) coil

There's one per plug. Replace the one, you should be all set... until the next one goes :-)
