Help! Car pulling but then straightens

96 maxima auto
When I accelerate, the car is pulling but when it goes into gear as i let off gas, the steering wheel "lets go" and straightens out.
I didnt' have the problem until after I lowered it with new shocks/struts/springs.
Could it be from a torn boot on rack & pinion? If rack & pinion leaking, will it mess with steering?
The shop said it was tore. I put in stop leak for power steering and put new valve cover gaskets and I have no leaks on car.
Example: accelerating around a longer curve and car shifts gears, car will "let go" for an instant and then catch again.
Any advice is appreciated.
I have a feeling I need to replace rack & pinion. Already have new upper/lower control arms, tie rods and bushings.
Thanks

That's true. Once you get an alignment everything should be fine.
