Replaced Belts and now there's a knocking noise

I just replaced my belts and now I can hear an intermittent knocking noise coming from them.
What can this be?

Did you tighten down the nut on the front of the tensioner pulley? All of the bolts on the PS pump?

Well, the only thing that I can think of is the pivot bolt on the PS, but I didn't loosen it.
I couldn't even get to it. everything else is tightened.

Under what conditions does it 'knock'? Have you actually watched the area while trying to reproduce the sound?

I first thought it was impossible to loosen the power steering pump pivot bolt. That 14mm bolt is high up there. After reading this website I was able to loosen it:

http://maxima.theowensfamily.com/udp.asp

It shows you the swivel adapters and socket extension needed.

Before I loosened the power steering pump pivot bolt I broke the adjustable bolt, the square bracket, and the locking nut. I had to order new ones for $22.

Noob saves the day... swivels and ratcheting wrenches make tight spaces a little easier to work in

the power steering bolt was a B*tch and a half, probably the hardest bold I've ever had the displeasure of getting to..I have small hands, did it outside in february made new tools out of other tools to tool tools ( talking about the bolt behind the power steering motor)

Forgot to add, if anything was loose, you'd hear it. The belts would squeal like crazy, if you damaged the tensioner maybe that, but even then it makes a grinding sound, not pinging. Maybe you over tightened the serpentine belt with the tensioner?
