Help...Brake and Suspension Question.....

Has anybody heard of Nippon brake pads??? I bought them and intalled them on my car all around. Note that these pads are for temporary use only. Well my front 2 brakes are making some noise when medium to light braking. Does that mean they are too cheap. If i didn't cut or resurface my rotors cause any noise. I didn't resurface them because i am buying new pads and rotors in like a month. I've had the pads on for like a month now. What are the best rotors to get?

Now for my suspension...My springs or struts are making noise as if it's like rusty or needs some wd40 when i bounces or when i'm coming out of my driveway. Does that mean i need new suspension. What are my choice for coilovers that are worth getting with pretty good ride quality?

about the brakes, yes... If the surface of the rotors is un even, it will cause squealing noise. all my pads squeal like a truck, and I got the car like that. the pads are relatively new but the rotors are not smooth. Cutting the rotor should cost 10$ for each one from a regular shop. If you can live with it, ride around this way until you can get new pads, then cut these rotors.

Sorry, i can't help you on the suspension question, except coilovers and good ride quality don't belong in the same sentence

Never heard of them.. but what kind of noise are you getting? squeal noise? some brake pads are like that and some come with an anti-squeal compound.. if you are getting vibration then and only then would i say its a rotors resurfacing problem.. Noise doesn't neccessarily mean the pads are not working.. if they stop fine then they should be ok.

now for brake deals.. i would check with my boy got rice? aka phuong..

http://www.eatricezone.com/MaxBrakeSale.htm

he has a hot brake deal going now for $540.. F/R Rotors, F/R Axxis Pads, Stainless Steel lines, Motul Flud.. that my friend is a steal.. or you can just contact him for rotors.. check the main site

http://www.eatricezone.com/brakes01.html

he is also an authorized stillen dealer so he can also get you stillen stuff.. and he is on the board everyday so its easy to talk to him or contact him..

how many miles do you have on your suspension? if they are making noise.. it could be lots of reason.. dirt? tempreture.. or they are re-seating themselves.. if they are very bouncy .. then yeah its about time to get new ones..

The only affordable coilovers i know of are from cattman performance..

http://www.cattman.com/suspension_prod.shtml#coilovers

i think they are around $1800 .. i am not sure.. however some people have had complaints about the older versions breakign welds.. and noise.. but i think these were fixed in the second generation.. i am not sure..

Other solutions are:

NB: with these solutions below you will also have to go out and buy Struts/shocks and camber bolts .. the cattmans above are a full set..
  • Ground Control Coilovers that allow you to lower from 0 - 3 inches.. these are modified Eibach Springs, however the ride quality once you start going low with them is very bad.. $400
  • Weapon R coilovers.. i havn't heard much about them..but a few people have them. $400
  • Sprint Springs.. give you a nice 2 inch drop.. however not adjustable and will give you a sort of harsh ride..

hey.. i just got ground control coilovers and my ride rides nice now... had some noise in the beginning but i brought it back to the shop and they fixed it... i love it... plus ground control uses eibach springs which are pretty good quality... i am having no problems so far... it's a harsher ride but i kinda like it...

only in the mornings - I get the busy server messages in the afternoon and evenings so I usually don't hop on when it's busy
