95 Max running rough - Help needed

My 95 Max started running real rough about a week ago.
The car idles rough and even worst when put into reverse, almost seems to want to die.

The CEL did not come on but I suspected a misfiring situation so I took the car down to AutoZone and sure enough they read P0302.
I went home and took off the wires leading to the coil for cyl 2 and the engine still seem to run rough. I then took the coil from cyl 4 and swapped it with the coil in cyl 2. Still the same rough conditions.

Now three days later, the CEL light is now on and I took the car back to AutoZone and now there are 2 codes: P1320 and P0302.

I understand it usually indicates coil pack problems.

Questions:
1) Should I simply replace ALL SIX coil packs at once?
2) Are six coil packs on Ebay reliable? They are less than $220/six ...
3) Any other advice?

Thanks - this forum has enabled me to learn so much !!

I don't understand...how would disconnecting a coilpack make it NOT run rough? Isn't it now firing on 5 cylinders? or 6 cylinders intermittently?

The only way to check would have been to get a NEW coilpack and swap it, right?

And be careful on the ebay coilpacks, I thought I remembered seeing a specific bad ebayer that sold coilpacks to a few members.

The way I tested my coil packs I used the same method on my skyline motor.

Have the car running. Disconnect the harness from the coil pack one at a time. If you hear a change like your cars about to stall or some vibration you know its working. And if nothing changes you know that's your problem. Basically your car is going to react. Oh and I've always sanded the coil whenever I changed my spark plugs so have a better contact point.

Now when was the last time you changed your spark plugs? And did you test the ignitor? Perhaps your timing is even off.

If your going to spend around $200 might as well invest in some spitfires.

Here are some stockers for MUCH cheaper:

I used the same method based on my searching the forums for answers before I posted for some help.

My sparks plugs were changed out less than 5K miles ago.

And did you test the ignitor?
No... haven't done that yet.
Perhaps your timing is even off.

The weather tomorrow will be warmer, so I can check things out.

You likely got the P1320 because of disconnecting the coils while the engine was running; the same thing has happened to me while testing coils before. Sometimes it'll throw it, sometimes not.

If swapping out the coil didn't change anything, with hope it's either the injector or the plug; if it isn't either of those, next thing I would do is a compression test. Lucky for you, the number 2 injector is easily accessible, don't have to pull the UIM.

im not good at all wit mechanically fixng my car.. i have a very good friend as a mechanic.. i had the same problem with my 95 max a couple of months ago.. Everytime idle it would kick and just feel terrrible like the car was gunna just turn off. i took it to my friend and he said my 2nd cylinder was misfiring becasue of a loose nut or bolt or some ****, he said if i took it anywhere else they would have screwed me and made me replace the whole coil package.. dont want anyone to get screwed so just check for small things ..saved me a bunch of money, but im positive you guys are good with mechanical issues.. im only good with the asthetics, ha
