gas cap pressure release??

gas cap pressure release??

does anyone take off there gas cap and here the hissing from the pressure release?? i use to have that but for sum reason i dont have that anymore im wondering y? anyone have any info let me know

you have a vacuum leak somewhere see you are supercharged pressure test for any boost leaks or check evap canister for any broken hoses

yeah...get it once every now on. Sometimes when i go to get gas, the cap is looser than i left.

are u sure 10 psi?? i dont wanna rip apart my car and start fixing hoses and stuff if it isnt that??

Perhaps a leak somewhere. Best thing to do is to put your car on a lift and inspect the hoses and under the car. Never know what you might find.

It could be that the cap is no good and need a replacement. Back in early Nov. '08, I kept getting ECU codes related to the car EVAP system. I checked the valves and hoses and couldn't find anything wrong. At about the same time, I noted that the gas cap stopped hissing whenever I opened it to refuel. I replaced the cap and the EVAp problems went away.

funny thing is i just replaced the cap..with one from napa...i didnt get the oem one.
