loose carbon in charcoal canister
Got the P1445 evap code a while ago, reset ecu replaced gas cap, checked the volume valve, all the hoses and the code came back.
So i decided to take a look at the canister. Before taking it out I decided to knock on it with a wrench and it sounded like its full of sand inside.
Are the carbon inside suppose to be loose or is it simply broken? thanks for the help

depending on the year p1445 is the code for the purge volume control vavle, it is right on top of the intake manifold, it has 2 hose;s coming from it and is a 6 pin connector. veery easy to replace. i can tell u this since i have had to deal with that code and replaced that part to have it fixed good luck.
