What kind of Headlights, Sidemarkers, & Blinker Bulbs do you use?

What kind of Headlights, Sidemarkers, & Blinker Bulbs do you use?
...Just curious. I wanted my whole front end to have matching colored lights. I am liking the "Hyper White" look. I am not too fond of the blueish color look. Nice, bright, & white is how i want the bulbs to be. Which bulbs match in color wise? I had APC Xenon gas-filled headlights and they were worse then the stock ones. I couldnt see much during wet weather either. What bulbs are you guys using? Which bulb # do i need? Thanks.

I just put Philips blue vision into my headlights, theyre pretty damn white... But now the corner lights look really yellow... I heard Polarg makes really white 1157 or 1156 bulbs (I think both will fit, but the 1156 has the correct wattage at 27W)... I dunno about the rest of the lights, do a search...

actually, the corner lights nest to the headlights are the 1157 bulb (the dual wattage one) the corner lights may look yellow because the lower wattage filament is the only one being used. a quick fix to this shave of one of the nibs on the side of the bulb and insert it backwards, so now the 27W filament is on. i personally have both going at once, al a piece of tin foil underneath the connection points. there's a big difference in brightness once the 27W gets going

I used the APC as well, they suck, so does most of the zenon crap out there. Real HID is another story.
I'm set up with PIAA Fogs, I think it was an H3, and PIAA 1156 in the corners 27Watts.
As far as headlights go, I have found these in the link below to be the best cheapest whitest HID imitator out there. You CAN see in the rain with these, and the front of my car matches perfectly. Nice crisp clear white light!

Polarg makes lots of bulbs.
For the 1157, they make a 8w/27w and a 5w/22w.
With the rewire the 5w/22w look better cause they aren't as overly bright compared to the headlights.
njmaxseltd pointed out the bulbs at JC whitney, but they also have other bulbs. These are overwattage bulbs so you should get a wiring harness if you intend to get these.
I've seen the 5w/22w polargs, so I'm going with them along with my Piaa Xtreme H-3 fogs, and then a higher wattage 9004. I'll let you know how it comes out.

OSRAM HID's for my main bulbs...
Phillip AW H3's for fogs...
Polarg SW's in the corners... (considering a rewire... with that in mind... anyone w/HIDs or close look-a-likes done a rewire... just curious what it looks like?)
compared the color?

njmaxseltd,
are you sure you have the 1156 in the corner lights? araffio is saying they will not fit..
araffio,
when you say the 1157 has two contacts and 1156 has only one, are contacts the same as nubs? That doesn't make sense, i know, but shouldn't all bulbs have two contacts anyway?

1156 bulbs have one filament, so there is one contact point on the bottom of the bulb. This bulb also has two nubs to fit into a 1156 housing.
But by filing down one of the nubs on a 1156 bulb, you can fit it into a 1157 housing and it will work. The rewire for the corner lights is just switching which contact point the 1157 bulb uses.
So you can
1) rewire your corner and use a 1157 bulb.
2) Use a 1156 bulb and file down a nub.
3) Or maybe (I've never done it) file down a nub on a 1157 bulb and put it in the opposite direction.

Some people like them, some hate them. I'm pretty sure they are a higher wattage bulb, so if you do get them you should also get a wiring harness.

I have some Superwhite Hyperwhite 9004s in my headlights, nice and clear white but not bright enough.... (damn, i should have gotten Phillips BVs) the rest of the bulbs are all stock... I will be filing the nub off the 1156 bulb and putting it in there as soon as I can find some nice WHITE ones. I tried doing this once and blew out my fokin fuse. I just upgraded the fuse so lets see what happens.

I have PSW 9004 and I had 1157 xtremes, but I put the stock 1157s back in.
Now I'm going with Polarg 1157 (5w/22w) and a higher wattage 9004.

Synk...
I got Nokya artic purples, and I just put in apc hyper white 1157 in. In my factory sidemarker, I have amber. But in my aftermarket sidemarker, I have PIAA super plasma's in there. In my foglights, I think they are hyper brand. Anyways... nothing in the front of my car matches. I'm starting to look like a xmas tree All I need now is green and red up there

So.....what's the best then???
I'm looking for replacement headlights bulbs.
It seems like everyone has their own opinion about different lights, so I'll to to be more specific with my question........
First,
I want bright light (if possible...white) that can see through in rain (I live in oregon and its raining all the time)
I'm having a hard time seeing when I drive at rainy night.
Another question,
I have a 95 Max, and I wonder if the 97 headlight is brighter?
If i'm not mistaken, the 97 use reflective and 95 use glass....
Last question, :P
I saw some high wattage light bulbs 80/100W etc that can fry your harness.
Is it "really" much brighter than the stock wattage bulb?
Is there any bulb with stock wattage that perform as bright as those higher wattage?? (not included real HID-Xenon)
Thanks

i personally like the look of the blue headlights...tonite on my way home on I-95 i saw a maxima with really really bright blue headlights and it looked tight. can anybody recommend good blue tinted bulbs, but not overly expensive ($40 and under)
and i guess the 1157 bulbs to match them good
does anybody have experience with the krypton bulbs you see on ebay? i was thinking about those if i decide to go with a white look
thanks

From what I understand one of the best stock wattage bulbs is the Philips Blue Vision (for 9004) I have Piaa superwhites and they are supposed to be comparable.

I have:
Hiper ind. 9004's
Polarg g-tech 1157's reversed in corners and regular in the blinkers
Polarg 168's in the side markers
Piaa h3's in the fogs.
Everything matches really well, except the h3's. They look a little whiter than the rest.
