why are your lights sagging like my breasts?

if you hate the bugs, and only get them on long trips, use a light coating of pam (sprayable cooking oil) on your bumper and hood. when you stop just spray with a lil water and wipe clean.

I heard that sometimes stuff like sand or pebbles can get under the bra and end up scratching your paint. I just think the car looks cleaner without one. Its up to you to decide if u want one or not

Haha. It's the cover that goes in front of the car. It covers the bumper and the front part of the hood. It's meant to protect the car from debree and stuff but it ends up scratching the hood. I DONT recommend it!!!

I think most people that put on bras think that you can put it on and forget about it. The truth is, you should take it off daily. When moisture and dust get under the bra, it like having sandpaper under it. You also have to make sure the paint is clean before putting it on and it has to fit right. If it is even a little loose, the flapping material will certainly scratch your paint. Best advise, keep bra's on the ladies and if you have lovebug juice, try to keep your car waxed and wash them off as soon as possible. Don't let the sun bake the juice in.

Unless you take it off constantly to clean they seem to do more damage than they prevent. It left a huge scar on the hood of my old car when a pebble was lodged under the bra.

Does anyone have any experience with the 3-M hood film used to protect cars? From what I've heard they seem to work well and are practically invisible.

Chek this site out.

A little OT

The bug "juice" really isn't the problem. It's the bacteria that feeds on the juice that ruins your paint. Just make sure you wash your car more frequently during the love bug season and you will be fine. Geez, I need to stop watching the Discovery channel.

since you have a problem with love bugs, you should get one, try the wolf bra, good quality. Once you get it, set in the sun for an hour, clean you car, then put it on. You will have to take care of the bra and your car. I take mine off once a week when i wash my car, just clean the bra and you will not have the problem with scratches on your hood.

I got a bra on my Max and I like it. Especially on the black it does not stick out too bad or anything.

Black bra on a black car looks great. If you do put it on: I would recommend you wax the hood and front fenders before putting the bra on. I've had no problems - 5 years. Just make sure you remove it from time to time and keep the surfaces washed and waxed. I usually just have the hood portion on w/o the bumper/fender section on.

My father's car had the bra on, and some dirt got under the bra and that stained his hood yellow. That stain can't be cleaned. I have one, but only use it on roadtrips. I don't recommend this for everyday use.

I like the way they look but if you read the instructions, you're not supposed to leave it on in the rain. Ever leave a glass on a wood table and see how it turns white? Same effect. Seems like too much hassle to me.

You cant be lazy with the bra. You have to take it off and dry it when it gets saturated. But I love it because my car is black, and it helps cover up and protect from more rock chip and stuff on the highway.

I hate car-bras, but I have one...

How can I put this...
40+ miles a day + Maxima paint (sucks) = I now have a bra.

I don't like the way it looks (you can see it one my homepage), but I think its better this way. I wash the car weekly so the surface underneath is washed frequently. Were it not, I'm sure the bra would leave scratches and discoloration.

Bugs Off

I you don't want to use a bra, try spraying on/wiping off a couple of coats of a detailing spray, like Z6, each time you wash. The bugs tend not to stick, and come off much easier if they do.

When I wash, I also pretreat the front end with a car wash solution (a couple of tablespoons of carwash mixed with water, in a spray bottle) beforehand. Doing so helps get the bugs off without taking your wax off too - unlike bug and tar removers.

bras don't look that bad. The one thing you have to worry about are the pebbles, the stones underneath, the moisture underneath which will eventually cause those little scratches to rust and look like s*^t. Listen, from all these posts, the person who did post the thread, DON'T GET A BRA UNLESS YOU WANT A NEW PAINT JOB IN A MONTH.
