BATTERY AND BRAKE LIGHT ON DASH FLICKERING
MY BATTERY AND BRAKE LIGHT ON MY DASH WILL FLICKER FOR 3 TO 5 SECONDS THEN GOES AWAY .WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE HEADLIGHTS AND DASH LIGHTS DIM. THIS SEEMS TO DO IT WHEN ALL THE ACCESSORIES ARE ON HEATED SEATS LIGHT ETC. IS MY ALTERNATOR ON ITS LAST LEGS I REPLACE IT WITHA REBUILT 10 MONTHS, WHAT IS GOING ON NEED HELP.
yes it been tested and works great but why the brake light also , are these alternators know to fail because bad diode inside its was remanufactor one and that one replace other reman with bad bearing noise, i think maybe a brand new is the next to replace ,who has the best price on new alternators you can trust

You're always taking a chance with reman parts. Again, did you have it tested? If not, then do so.
those lights flash because your alternator is putting out zero amps for a short time. Replace your alternator. your lights will go away.
Even "new reman" units have been known to fail. Mine did and my car spent 3 weeks on stands so that I could figure out what was wrong. I finally gave up and took the car to Nissan. They ran a test on the alternator and told me that the alternator was putting out ZERO amps for a short time. Thats why the lights were flashing. Replaced the alternator (650 dollars Canadian with labour) and all has been good.
I was rather chocked as it was something that I could have fixed myself, but without the proper diagnostic tools I was at a loss.
\Lesson learned the expensive way.

yea jus like everyone else said it is your generator..change it and while u are down their you might as well change the belt also if it hasnt been changed already..but dont wait till you alt goes dead dead cause then you may end up buying a battery also (cause if youhave no alt.. the car needs the power from someplace and it will drain the battery)
