Heated seat cutting out
Heated seat cutting out
This thread is not about an install but it looks like the driver heated seat has burned out or has it.
I know the lower switch does not light up and does not generate heat, but now the higher heat switch does light up but no heat.
I did a search, came up empty.
What steps to rectify?
1) Check the fuse, for starters? But one light on switch works.

There was a thread on here where a guy opened up his seat and looked at the heating element. It had a spot, I believe it was on the seat back where the circuit had burned through and opened up. He was able to solder it back together and everything worked once again.
You'll have to look at both circuits, measure them with an ohm meter to see which one is open, either the seat or the seat back. Then remove the leather cover and see if you can find the spot that has failed. They can be repaired, it may be time consuming but it's possible.
Search around a bit more on here and hopefully you can dig up that thread.

If the switch lights work, which you say they do, then it's not a fuse problem. If the fuse for the heated seats was blown none of the lights would work either. As far as circuit breaker mentioned earlier is concerned that is for the power seats motors has nothing to do with the heated seats.
The power goes from the fuse box to the switches and then to the coils in the seats. It appears either you are not getting power from the switches to the seats or both seat coils are bad. Maybe someone removed a connector for the seats somewhere?
