Code 0205 Idle Speed Control same as IACV?

I set about working on my 95 today. Replaced the rear 02 and engine coolant temp sensor. This cleared out those codes. I am still pulling 0205 though.

I took the whole IACV off and gave it a very thorough cleaning as this was suggested in some of the the threads I read. Put it back on and then readjusted the idle with the TPS disconnected. Drove around for a while, the CEL came on, checked it and still 0205.

I went to the pic-a-part here and unfortunately every maxima/i30 had already had the whole IACV assembly taken. I was going to try just swapping it as they told me $15

Before I order a new IACV is there anything else that could cause that code that I should try to fix first.

If everyone is pretty sure I am going to have to replace the IACV then where would be a good site to order one from?

Check the FSM diagnostics starting on EC-126, it'll show you how to check the harness. That's the only other thing it could be, really.

If you are looking for an IACV, I can check my local yard (heading there today) and get you one for ~$30 shipped.

Hey thanks for the reply. Sorry I didn't get your reply before you went to the junkyard. I ended up just ordering a new one yesterday.

I didn't check the harness so I have my fingers crossed that isn't the problem. The part should be in tomorrow so I will post up as to whether that clears the code or not.

Well I got my IACV on Thursday, installed, and ran through the weekend without the CEL relighting.

Hopefully this is the last thing I have to work on for a while.
