Did you try adding a bit of oil through the spark plug hole to see if compression rises? What's the compression like on cylinder 3?

A leak down test will tell you where you're losing the compression.

i havent any idea what a leakdown test is or how to perform it. i also did not add oil into the cyl. i actually didnt do the test a friend of mine did, but no oil wasnt added and i do own the compression tester i bought it today so if anyone has info on how to perform the test ill do it myself and get info posted up here for further actions to be taken on the car cause i need my baby for transportation to and from work/school

Per fsm:

Do a search for leak down test procedure. It's more involved.

if you put oil in the cylinder and compression is good then rings or possibly valve seals are the problem..

if oil doesnt help u have a burnt valve... or the dumbfawk is doing something wrong...

people usually dont pay attention that much to this, but make sure to have the throttle wide open other wise your numbers are gonna be low. do the wet compression test and if nothing changes then go on from there.

Indeed. Not to mention actually removing all of the plugs, and not doing it while the engine's running, as the OP's guy did. That and I always put it on a battery charger.

my main problem is the car is misfiring, the coil isnt the problem and the injector was checked and ok supposively, im going to check it next nice day (i live in connecticut) its been ****ty out with rain/ice/snow but tomorrow should be like 37 degrees so ill check into it and see what i pull up for numbers and every cyl and let you all know! im going to do just the dry test unless numbers are low then ill do wet test aswell
