17in giovanna corsicas

i have a question

this summer i got giovanna corsicas 17inch. i previously had the stock 15inch rims with hubcaps that came with the 96 GXE.

First off i was wondering what is the weight of each rim?
GXE stock rim = ? lbs
giovanna corsica = ? lbs

secondly i was wondering why my gas mileage has decreased 8 mpg since i have gotten these rims. i did not change the diameter of my rims or tires, i added 2 to the rims and got lower profile tires to counteract that.

so what can that be caused by and yes i did just recently get my 30000 mile check up, im figuring its the rims, any help from anybody would be great

I would assume that your new wheels are alot heavier than the stock wheels if you're experiencing lower mileage. Have you noticed any lack of power?

there is no way RIMS can cause an 8 mpg decrease....

Check the air pressure in tires, fuel filter, air filter, o2 sensor, cat converter... your driving style... It can't be because of rims. Plenty of people are running 18s and even more, and no one lost 8 mpg as a result..

unless they're super bling-bling they should weigh about the same as your stocks or a little bit more. consider your driving style and if you've been warming up the car alot.
