04 wheels on a 97?? Help me out...

I got a 97 Maxima and the rims i had on them got a lil messed up so now i have to change the wheels and i rlly don't want to put the stock 97 wheels back on it,,, my brother had a 04 maxima which he put the 07 wheels on, and had the 04 wheels sittin around, so i would like to put them on my 97, but idk they look a lil wide, would they go on with out giving me any problems???

alright well about 5 hours later im back home with the new shoes on my max, i found out that they do fit good, but seeing that my car is dropped 2.0 and 2.5,,, " That's no good ",,,, the tires on the 04 Maxima come with 245/45/ R18 meaning it was to big so i had to buy some 225/ 40 R18 and they LOOK SICKKKK hopefully tomorrow will b nice so i can wash her and take some new pic and post 4 all to see, lol -Thank you to every one that helped me out,

before you swapped the tires....did u at least bolt the wheels onto your car to see if there would be any tire rubbing issues? if so....what was the problem? the width or profile of the tires?

it was profile of the tires, there were to Fat and wouldn't sit right, and ya i did try them b4 i put the new tires on, but the tires i have now are smaller and look better then the fat ones.

I like that.

I put the wheels off my wifes 08 on the 96 and they looked good, worked fine. But she wouldn't let me put the sawblades on the 08! Go figure.

Can we adjust the speedo on the 4th gen for bigger tires?

You cannot adjust the speedo in the 4th gen. It would probably be off by like 1-2% anyway.

I think any of the newer maxima wheels look way better than any stock 4th gen wheels. Definately dont put the 97 wheel back on there! Obviously they are outdated...heh
